Recently, I had an experience that reminded me just how important value really is when choosing a Realtor.
I met with a homeowner about listing their property. Our meeting went wonderfully. I walked them through my full marketing strategy, including my elevated print materials, professional photography, and my proven social media reach that gets homes seen by thousands of potential buyers.
Using my 25 years of interior design experience, I made suggestions to help their home shine in photos and in person. I also shared my track record as a top producer in Lafayette and the surrounding areas.
So, I’ll admit, I was surprised when they decided to list with another agent. Later, I learned that the other agent had offered to cut their commission to win the listing.
It made me think about something true in so many areas of life: you get what you pay for.
When it comes to selling one of your largest investments, hiring a Realtor who discounts their own worth can be a red flag.
