Lafayette's Growing Appeal: New Hot Spots

Lafayette, Louisiana is now known as the best place to live in the state because it combines a cozy small-town feel with the perks of a lively city! The economy is booming, creating more jobs and bringing in new businesses. Let's check out some of these new developments and see how they're making Lafayette even better! 

One notable, probable addition to the city is a brand new Buccee’s which will be located at the corner of Louisiana Avenue and I-10. The Bucee's chain wants to open up there in time for the 2025 holiday season. They're planning to build a large convenience store, gas station, and about 700 parking spaces. Construction plans are underway in Lafayette, and they expect the whole process to take about 13 months to finish.

Another eagerly anticipated arrival is Superior Grill! If you’re anything like my family and me, we’ve been eagerly awaiting this since construction started in January 2023. With established locations in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport, Superior Grill is renowned for its delicious fajitas and signature Superior margaritas! The new location will be situated on Kaliste Saloom Road, adjacent to Walk-Ons and opposite the Grand 14 movie theater. 

To add to the excitement, a fresh Jet Coffee location is set to debut soon! Fans of this popular coffee spot, known for its specialty grade coffee and amazing customer service, are eagerly anticipating its arrival. Situated in a prime spot on Johnston Street near the UL campus, this new Jet Coffee location is sure to become a favorite spot for coffee lovers seeking top-notch brews in a welcoming environment.
