Ready to List?
I recently listed a home that was built in 2001 that was well-loved by its family. The sellers called me to consult on what was needed to get their home sold quickly and for top dollar. Here’s what we did…
Declutter
In this instance, the sellers had already moved into their new home. What was left in the house were items that they were not moving with them. We moved all of these into the garage pending decisions on sell, donate, or throw away. This allowed us a clean slate to begin working with.
In most cases, sellers are still living in their homes. Now is the perfect time to start packing items in preparation for their move. Storing boxes in the garage is perfectly acceptable!
Make Necessary Repairs
My years of interior design experience helped me with this one! I was able to select the perfect neutral paint color for the entire house. The sellers agreed to paint the house which allowed for a move-in ready home. Buyers love this! A few light fixtures were selected in order to depersonalize the home and we identified minor repairs needed.
Deep Clean Every Corner
Realtors know that a spotless home signals to buyers that the property has been well cared for. Professionals were called in to deep clean windows, ceiling fans, and grout. The home looked and smelled fantastic!
Curb Appeal
First impressions are everything. A fresh coat of paint on the front door and well manicured lawn and flowerbeds were imperative. Done!
Market the Home
As you already know working with a professional realtor is important. I started marketing this home before it hit the market by personally calling top-producing agents, used professional photography, filmed professional videos, prepared print materials, social media blasts, and marketing to my sphere.
Offers
My sellers trusted me and listened to every piece of advice I gave them. We are now “pending” after navigating multiple offers. If you’re thinking of selling soon, let’s talk about how I can help!
